Steffie is smart as a whip, a cute, small size, and has lots of fun puppy energy!  She is brilliant with training and was offering to sit the very first day we started working with her.  She has already picked up on sit, spin, weaving between your legs, lay down, walking in a crate, and she’s learning stay.  She picks up on new things VERY quickly and wants very much to please.  She LOVES treats (even her dog kibble works as treats!) and loves to play with toys.  She is even pretty good at fetch already!  Steffie needs a lot more exercise than she’s getting at the shelter (which is none) and would love a home where she is an indoor dog with a fenced yard.  She loves to race around and play with other dogs, too, and would be a great doggie companion. 

Steffie is still learning puppy manners, including that you can’t use your teeth to play with people like you can with other dogs!  She has gotten MUCH better about this as the class has gone on and has been doing great now that she's getting out of her kennel more.  Because she still gets excited and can get still a little mouthy when playing occasionally, she needs a home with adults or older children for right now.  She is VERY friendly, though, so as she continues to improve on her play manners, she would probably be great in a home with younger kids, too.  Steffie is playful but when she gets a chance to get some exercise, she is great about calming down, too.  

Steffie is a sweet, petite, super smart girl who would love an active home to call her own.  She really is a friendly, lovable, pocket sized cutie!  She has lots of personality and some cute things about her, like she loves to drink out of the hose!  Come check her out!

From her handler:  "Steffie is an ecstatic dog that luves to run and play.  She gets a little too excited when she is out side and is running.  Every time we run she trys to play.  I think its from not having the chanc to exercise corectly ie. run, jump, ect.  If she had a luving famaly that would play with her that would probably go away.  

Steffie is vary luving thow and when she dus nip you (when she's playing) she is vary sary and itf you are hert from sumthing else she will try to help.  She is a really good dog and would be grate with little kids as long as they dont run.  I am working on that."
