Kyli is Adopted!

Kyli is a fantastic representation of what a Lab should be.  She is friendly, smart, playful, and loves people.  She came in as a stray but was someone's pet because she already knew how to sit.  She is fantastic with kids.  She has been around an active 4 year old boy and LOVED him.  He got lots of kisses from her.  She also loves toys and loves to play fetch.  Kyli is an absolute angel for baths and nail trims and you will get the "Wow, she is the best dog we've seen all day!" comments from your vet every time!  She has been good with the other dogs in her kennel and seemed like she might be ok with cats that would stand up to her and not run from her.  Kyli is active and playful but is probably more on the moderate energy level where she likes to play but is also calm and relaxed around the house.  She definitely knows how to relax and loves belly rubs when it's time to cuddle.  She would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard and wants to be an inside dog.  She would be the perfect family dog.

FROM HER HANDLER:  Kylie is a very active, playful dog.  She is also very friendly and loving.  Kylie is the kind of dog to take for a run every morning for being so energetic.  She is very intelligent, but she is also still learning.  She is a brave dog.

Kyli would want a big hard to play and round around.  She would be better with a big family because she loves attention.  Kyli will be the best dog she can.

starAdoption Information

Kids-N-K9s dogs may be adopted at any time during the program on a first come, first serve basis but may not go home permanently until graduation night.  We do not have class on the weekends and encourage adopters to take their dogs home during that time, though they must be returned before 3:00pm Monday afternoon for class.
Potential adopters must come to the shelter during regular business hours to complete an adoption application.  Phone adoptions are also available with special approval for long-distance adoptions.
Adoption fees range from $25-$75 and includes spaying/neutering, shots, a microchip, and a heartworm test.  All we ask is that you send your success stories to us to share with your dog's handler!
