Gandalf is brilliant! He is a happy, super smart, playful boy who also has a sweet, snuggly side that will make you melt. He is a staff favorite because he is so smart, so eager to please, and has so much personality. He learns new things incredibly quickly and tries so hard to do everything right. You can just see the little wheels turning inside his head trying to figure out what you want.
Gandalf will be happiest in a home where he can get a lot of attention in addition to time to play. He needs to be an inside dog in a home with a fenced yard. He has been great with other dogs, including small dogs, but needs a home without cats. He would probably be really good with kids, too. Gandalf has the sweetest eyes and is a very loving, loyal guy who loves people and attention. He loves to play fetch and tug and he is a big fan of toys, treats, and love. He rides well in the car, was good for baths, and was pretty good for his nail trim.
Gandalf is a snuggler and thinks he is a Chihuahua the way he likes to sit in your lap! He would make a great jogging buddy or playmate for another active dog but don't think that he's all go, go, go, Gandalf definitely knows how to settle down and relax, too. He is an amazing dog with so much potential. He already knows how to sit, lay down, spin, roll over, come, stay, and more!
FROM HIS HANDLER: Gandalf would be perfect for an active, playful family with kids and a backyard but he knows when to calm down. He is very brave and always eater to learn new tricks. Gandalf is very faithful once you get to know him and he loves to explore.
Gandalf is gentle with other dogs. He is also very smart and is a quick learner. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, come, shake your hand, and more!
Gandalf prefers to play with people more than toys and LOVES treats. He is NOT picky! He likes to be petted on his back and scratched on his chest. He is good about going potty outside so he may be housetrained.
I promise that within four or five days of knowing him, you will feel a strong, durable bond with him.
