Deuce is Adopted!

Deuce is a sweet guy.  He loves to run outside but inside, well, he is about as couch potato as they come.  His favorite thing to do is lay down!  He is friendly and gentle and would probably be good with gentle kids.  He is not good with small animals and must go to a home with no cats or small dogs.

FROM HIS HANDLER:  Hi!  My name is Deuce!!  I'm a large Catahoula Leopard looking for a place to live.  I'm highly energetic when it comes to going outside, but when I'm indoors, I can be as calm as the people I live with.  I am very respectable and I catch onto "do's and don'ts" very easily.  I like when I'm able to run in open fields to get out all of my energy.  I love positive attention and I like knowing that I'm in a safe place, so I basically like feeling comfortable.  Please treat me with respect and I will do all I can to turn into your favorite dog.  Thank you for your time and I hope I'm what you've been looking for.  Deuce!!!

starAdoption Information

Kids-N-K9s dogs may be adopted at any time during the program on a first come, first serve basis but may not go home permanently until graduation night.  We do not have class on the weekends and encourage adopters to take their dogs home during that time, though they must be returned before 3:00pm Monday afternoon for class.
Potential adopters must come to the shelter during regular business hours to complete an adoption application.  Phone adoptions are also available with special approval for long-distance adoptions.
Adoption fees range from $25-$75 and includes spaying/neutering, shots, a microchip, and a heartworm test.  All we ask is that you send your success stories to us to share with your dog's handler!
